Stacie Franchell was raised in Savannah, Georgia, she worked in her family's produce business, Polk's Produce. Her grandfather, Hezekiah Polk, began selling at the downtown Savannah Farmer's Market in the 1950s. As the business expanded, his children, Becky and Jerry, took over and launched stores throughout the Savannah area, known for offering the freshest fruits and vegetables year-round by sourcing from local farmers. After graduating from Georgia Southern University, Stacie moved to Atlanta and has spent the last 20 years working her husband at their restaurant, Padriac's. She frequently returns home to visit her family's business, bringing back fresh produce for her neighbors. Inspired by the excitement over vine-ripened tomatoes and other seasonal delights, she recognized the need for a produce delivery service in her area. With a passion for the business and strong ties to local farmers, she founded Crop Drop.
